Ian offers you the opportunity to design and make articles in precious metals.

Beginners will be instructed in techniques including 'hollowing, sinking, raising, planishing, seaming, soldering, polishing' etc.

Ian will take you through all the stages. From your initial idea to a finished product using demonstrations and safe workshop practice, ending with a completed article to take home and treasure for years to come. 

Excellent workshop facilities enable students more experienced in silversmithing to work on advanced projects and benefit from Ian's wide knowledge of the craft.

The type of work often produced by a student includes; serviette rings, spoons, silver boxes, photograph/picture frame, dishes, Christening mugs, candle sticks, church silver.

Weekend Courses

Saturday and Sunday from 10.00am to 5.00pm. 
Tea and coffee is included.  

Excellent overnight accommodation is available locally.
