There are work stations for six students in a large, light workshop.
Students are advised to wear footwear that is appropriate for a workshop and aprons are available to protect clothing.
Each work station consists of a traditional jewellers bench where hand tools are easily accessable.
We have a large range of stakes for raising bowls and dishes from silver sheet.
For students who prefer to sink a dish there are wooden formers, specific ones can be prepared for your use.
A wide selection of hand tools is provided at each work station which are suitable for both jewellery and silversmithing projects.
Silver sheet and wire are stocked in various gauges plus cabachons for setting.
Items not normally held in stock can be ordered by arrangement with Ian.
The aim is to design an article which encorporates some of the techniques that you are keen to learn. Some students arrive with a project in mind, but we also have lots of books and pictures to inspire you!
